Bend Announces Upcoming Events Featuring Local Bands and Tribute Performances

The West Bend community is gearing up for an exciting fall season as the BID Board meeting on September 2, 2025, highlighted a series of upcoming events aimed at bringing residents together. Bill and Phil, filling in for regular presenters, shared updates on the local entertainment scene, emphasizing a shift from a quieter summer to a bustling autumn schedule.

Starting this Thursday, the downtown area will host a block party in collaboration with the Downtown Association, featuring live music from two bands. This event marks the beginning of a new series called "Origins," which will showcase emerging singer-songwriters every Thursday. This fresh initiative aims to provide a platform for new talent while offering residents a cozy indoor venue with concessions and a bar.

In addition to these new offerings, the board announced the return of popular tribute acts, including the Chili Piper's performance on September 6, which has already sold around 300 tickets, indicating a strong community interest. Other anticipated shows include tributes to the Blues Beatles and Billy Joel, as well as a special event featuring ABBA and Dancing Queen, which has previously attracted families during hunting season.

As the holiday season approaches, the Bend will host a smaller version of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra for two nights, along with a screening of the classic film "A Christmas Story." Notably, the actors who played the bullies in the movie will be present for a meet-and-greet after the screening, adding a unique touch to the holiday festivities.
