Local Authorities Approve Billboard Construction Near Everglades and Tamarack

Tamarac is set to enhance community safety and communication with the approval of a new digital billboard, which will be constructed in just seven days. During a recent Planning Board meeting, officials discussed the benefits of the sign, emphasizing its ability to quickly change messaging to inform the public about important updates and safety information.

The billboard, measuring 14 by 48 feet, will be strategically placed along a perimeter road on the west side of Tamarac, an area that currently sees minimal traffic and is not heavily occupied. This location was chosen to ensure that the sign does not disrupt the flow of traffic or the surrounding environment, particularly the nearby Sawgrass area.

Key features of the billboard include advanced sensors that adjust the brightness based on ambient lighting, ensuring that it is not overly bright at night. In the event of a malfunction, the sign will turn completely black to avoid flickering, further minimizing any potential adverse effects on the community.

The Planning Board expressed confidence that the installation of the billboard will contribute positively to public welfare by providing timely information while maintaining a low impact on the surrounding area. As the project moves forward, residents can expect improved access to vital updates that enhance community safety.
