Townhome Development Plans Include 50 Units and Various Amenities

Under the bright lights of the Tamarac Planning Board meeting, discussions unfolded about an ambitious new residential development that promises to reshape the community. The proposed project features a mix of townhomes and amenities designed to enhance the living experience for future residents.

The development plan includes eight buildings, with a total of 50 townhome units. Each building varies in size and capacity: Buildings 1 and 8 will house four dwelling units each, while Buildings 2, 5, and 6 will contain five or six units. Notably, Buildings 3 and 4 stand out with eight units each, showcasing a diverse range of living options.

Families will find appealing features in the design, as the townhomes will offer a combination of three and four-bedroom units. The four-bedroom units, strategically placed at the ends of each building, provide ample space for larger families. The three-bedroom units come with covered patios and garages, ensuring convenience and comfort.

In addition to the residential units, the development will include a children's play area and a community pool, complete with an accessory cabana building. These amenities aim to foster a sense of community and provide recreational opportunities for residents.

Parking has also been a key consideration in the planning process. The proposal includes 125 parking spaces, exceeding the required 119 spaces for the 50 townhome units. Each unit will feature a garage space and a driveway, along with additional surface parking for guests and mail pickup.

As the meeting concluded, the Planning Board members expressed optimism about the project, recognizing its potential to enhance the neighborhood and accommodate the growing demand for housing in Tamarac.
