RDA Board Rescinds 2025 Motion to Reimburse Golden West Credit Union with Tax Funds

In a recent meeting of the Washington Terrace Redevelopment Agency (RDA), officials discussed the allocation of tax investment funds from the Southpointe Reinvestment Project area to reimburse incentives provided to Golden West Credit Union. The RDA had previously approved a fund allocation of $743,000 in June 2025, aimed at reinvesting in the Southeast project area. However, after further legal consultation, it was determined that the total investment of $1.2 million in Golden West Credit Union should be captured for reimbursement to the Southeast project area. This adjustment reflects a strategic shift to ensure that funds are utilized efficiently and in accordance with the agreements established with various taxing entities.
