Montgomery County Schools Revamp Grading System and Student Code of Conduct

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) held a Board Work Session on September 4, 2025, where key updates on grading policies, student conduct, and community engagement initiatives were discussed, all aimed at enhancing the educational experience for students and families.

A significant focus of the meeting was the overhaul of grading and reporting practices. The changes, which include a new final grade calculation and updated policies on due dates and reassessments, aim to create consistency across schools.
