Seventeen-year-old Adriana Sanders from Carver High School plans to enlist in the military and attend Spelman College after graduation. Brandy Brownex, also 17 and from Ramsey High School, aims to pursue nursing at North Carolina A&T. Meanwhile, Rachel Littlebrooks, a 16-year-old head drum major from Winona High School, aspires to study forensic science at Alabama State University.
Other students included Alicia Davis from Woodlawn High School, who is undecided on her major but hopes to become a radiologist, and Tavian Rucker, who plans to attend trade school for electrician or HVAC training. Bilab Barashid, another Ramsey High student, expressed his goal of becoming a civil engineer at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
The council members welcomed the students warmly, emphasizing the importance of this internship as a valuable experience for both the students and the city. As they embark on this journey, the council looks forward to fostering the next generation of leaders in Birmingham.
