Support for Veterans Memorial Wreath Program Takes Center Stage at Kamas City Council Meeting
The Kamas City Council meeting on September 9, 2025, highlighted a heartfelt appeal for continued support of the Veterans Memorial Wreath Program. Hundreds of community members, including many veterans, attended recent ceremonies, underscoring the program's significance in honoring those who served.
A representative from the program requested $808 from the council, which would cover $500 for wreaths for unsponsored veterans and $303 for wreaths at the city building and cemetery. This funding aims to create a ceremonial platform that enhances the community's tribute to its veterans.
Expressing gratitude for past support, the representative emphasized the program's success over the years and urged the council to back it once again. The council's decision on this funding request will play a crucial role in continuing the tradition of honoring veterans in Kamas.
