The City of Boonville is making significant strides in its ongoing development project, with the exterior of the building nearing completion. During the recent council meeting, updates revealed that the renovation has included a new roof, gutters, and extensive window replacements, with 248 out of 250 windows already installed. The exterior painting is nearly finished, and a vibrant mural has been added, bringing the outside work to about 90% completion.
Inside, the project is progressing rapidly, with six apartments on the third floor already framed. Plans are in place to begin cutting in sewer and water lines, with coordination already established with local water authorities. The next phases will involve electrical and plumbing work, as well as the installation of a fire suppression system.
The development will feature a total of 38 apartments, including 20 to 22 two-bedroom units, three studio apartments, and approximately 15 one-bedroom units. Additionally, there will be a commercial space available, which the developer is eager to fill with a business that will benefit the community, such as a restaurant.
As the project moves forward, the city anticipates that these developments will enhance local living options and contribute positively to the community's growth.
