Bowling Green City School District is making significant strides in its ongoing construction projects, as highlighted during the Board of Education meeting on September 16, 2025. The district reported that geothermal wells have been successfully installed, paving the way for further development in the northernmost area of the site.
Since the last meeting, a detention pond has been constructed, and essential underground utilities and drainage systems have been completed. Currently, work is underway on the North Parking Lot, with asphalt and curbs expected to be installed within the next week. This new parking facility will facilitate a transition from the existing parking area in front of the high school, allowing for uninterrupted progress on the southernmost area of construction.
Looking ahead, the district anticipates that by the next Board of Education meeting, the remaining parking lot will be removed, and preparations for the building pad will be underway, including the distribution of dirt and installation of utilities in the main construction area. These developments are crucial for advancing the district's infrastructure and enhancing the educational environment for students and staff.
