Recognition of Academic Excellence Shines at West Milford Board of Education Meeting
The West Milford Township Public School District celebrated academic achievement at its recent Board of Education meeting, highlighting the accomplishments of Advanced Placement (AP) scholars. During the event, Karen Johnson and Matt Stryant presented awards to students who excelled in AP exams, a prestigious recognition that enhances college applications.
From the class of 2025, 16 graduates were honored for their outstanding performance on multiple AP tests taken in May 2025. The recipients included Anya Barrett, McKenna Bush, Joel Campos, and Zoe Fuchs, among others. Current students also made their mark, with six Highlanders earning AP Scholar distinctions this year.
The awards included various levels of recognition, with Tara Lucarello receiving the AP Scholar with Distinction honor, while Brenna Traverso was recognized as an AP Scholar with Honor. The board expressed pride in the students' achievements, emphasizing the importance of these accolades in their academic journeys.
The meeting concluded with a group photo of the award recipients alongside board members, marking a moment of pride for the school community.
