Worcester County Public Schools is set to transition to a new platform for board meetings, marking a significant upgrade in how information is shared with the community. During the recent Board of Education meeting on September 16, 2025, officials announced that the current platform, BoardDocs, will be replaced by a new system called Community, developed by its parent company, Diligent.
Starting next month, all meeting agendas, minutes, and related materials will be accessible through the Community platform, which promises an updated look and enhanced features. Board members reassured the public that despite the changes, finding information will remain straightforward. The transition is expected to come with some initial challenges, and the board has requested patience from users as they adapt to the new technology.
In addition to the platform update, the meeting highlighted important upcoming dates for families and staff, including an early dismissal on October 1 for professional development and a closure on October 17 for the MSCA convention. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for October 23, with a change to Thursday to accommodate scheduling needs.
As the board moves forward with these updates, they encourage community members to reach out for assistance if needed, ensuring a smooth transition to the new platform.
