The meeting highlighted an organized trip for 31 juniors, accompanied by four chaperones, to visit four different educational institutions: Platteville, UW Madison, Madison College, and Edgewood University. This initiative aims to expose students to a variety of campus environments, including public and private institutions, and to help them make informed decisions about their future education. The trip is fully funded through fundraising efforts, ensuring that there is no cost to the students.

Participants emphasized the trip's benefits, noting that it allows students to experience college life firsthand, interact with current students, and explore academic programs and facilities. This immersive experience is particularly valuable for students who may not have previously considered college as an option, as it encourages them to explore multiple pathways for their future.

Several seniors who participated in last year's trip shared their positive experiences, highlighting the connections they made with peers and the insights gained about various colleges. They expressed how the trip broadened their perspectives on local educational opportunities, which they had not previously considered.

In addition to the college visits, the meeting also covered upcoming events for the FFA program. David Cruz, an agriculture inspector and FFA advisor, presented plans for various leadership conferences and competitions aimed at enhancing students' personal growth and leadership skills. Notably, two students will be recognized at the national FFA convention, marking a significant achievement for the program.

The discussions underscored the district's commitment to providing students with diverse educational experiences and opportunities for personal development. As the school year progresses, the district anticipates further engagement with students to support their academic and career aspirations.
