Hamilton County Schools is ramping up its fundraising efforts with an ambitious goal of selling 30,000 coupon books this year, aiming to eventually reach 40,000 to 50,000. During the recent board meeting on September 18, 2025, officials highlighted the innovative use of QR codes to streamline the purchasing process. Parents and community members can easily access the coupon books online, designating $10 to their chosen school with each purchase.

The initiative, known as Kids First, not only supports local schools but also provides grants to teachers. This year, $31,000 in grants will be awarded, funded by proceeds from a spring golf tournament. Additionally, athletic grants will be distributed from USAC funds, further enhancing support for school programs.

Board member Miss Jones expressed enthusiasm for the QR code system, noting its potential to expand sales beyond the immediate school community.
