During a recent meeting, the Ocala Special Magistrate addressed a significant environmental violation involving Wire 3 LLC and Wire 3 Holdings LLC. The case, reported by a concerned citizen, highlighted illicit discharge practices at a construction site located at 2162 Northwest 20 Third Loop.

City officer Jeffrey Gilbo presented evidence that employees from Wire 3 were observed improperly disposing of freshly dug sod and dirt into a city storm drain while installing fiber infrastructure. This action violates local regulations aimed at protecting the city’s stormwater systems.

In response to the report, the Public Works Department promptly notified code enforcement, leading to an investigation by Officer Gilbo. Upon inspection, he confirmed the violation and communicated with Wire 3 representatives, who acknowledged the issue and committed to cleaning up the site.
