In a recent meeting held on September 24, 2025, the Ocala Special Magistrate addressed multiple cases involving Rock Hospitality Partners 22 LLC, focusing on zoning and permit violations related to their property use. The cases, numbered CE25-0722 through CE25-0732, highlighted significant issues regarding unpermitted structures and activities on the site.
The primary violations included the installation of barbed wire and electrified fences without proper permits, as well as the unauthorized storage of vehicles and trailers. The property was also found to be used for mobile food vendors, which is permissible only if they operate temporarily and do not leave their trailers on-site overnight. However, it was noted that the vendors were not complying with this requirement, leading to further violations.
In addition to the fencing issues, one case specifically addressed the removal of oak trees without the necessary permits, emphasizing the need for compliance with local environmental regulations. The Special Magistrate stressed the importance of obtaining the required permits for both the tree removal and the installation of any structures, including fences.
The meeting underscored the city's commitment to enforcing zoning laws and ensuring that property owners adhere to regulations designed to maintain community standards. As these cases progress, the city aims to ensure that all businesses operate within the legal framework, promoting a balanced and compliant business environment in Ocala.
