The Gahanna City Council recently discussed an ambitious development project known as Creekside Reimagined, which aims to enhance the local community with a new hotel and residential options. The proposed project includes a 55 to 70-room independent boutique hotel, featuring two restaurants and a co-working space, similar to the popular Juntos in Franklinton. This hotel is expected to fill a gap in the local market for mid-range accommodations.

The development will also incorporate a parking garage designed for self-parking, ensuring that all parking needs are met on-site without the need for subterranean facilities. Guests and residents will enjoy amenities such as a pool and gym, connected by a bridge for easy access. The project is planned in two phases to minimize construction disruption for the community. Phase one will focus on the hotel and its amenities, while phase two will introduce 24 townhouses.

City officials emphasized the importance of maintaining the streetscape and enhancing greenery around the development, creating a more inviting walking experience for residents and visitors. The project also addresses flood mitigation concerns, implementing measures to protect the area from potential floodwaters, particularly from the nearby dam.
