Centre County residents will soon see enhanced support for local services as the Board of Commissioners approved several key items during their recent meeting on September 30, 2025. Among the highlights was the addition of multiple Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) items to next week's consent agenda, which aims to streamline the approval process for essential community services.

Commissioner Schoonkamp moved to include items 2 through 8 related to MHID in the upcoming agenda, a motion that received unanimous support from fellow commissioners.
