During a recent special call meeting of the PRMS Oversight Committee in DuPage County, members discussed the onboarding process for two new committee members, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive orientation packet. This initiative aims to equip the newcomers with essential background information about the committee's operations and history, particularly regarding the original 34 agencies involved.

Committee members noted that the current number of participating agencies has decreased to 31, following the departure of three agencies over the past two years. Addison left approximately a year and a half ago, while Oak Brook and Downers Grove are set to exit this year. Despite this reduction, the committee remains one of the largest police agency consortiums in the United States.

The discussion highlighted the importance of providing new members with a solid foundation to understand the committee's work and the dynamics of the remaining agencies. This onboarding effort is expected to enhance collaboration and effectiveness within the committee as it continues to navigate changes in membership.
