The DuPage County PRMS Oversight Committee held a special meeting on October 1, 2025, to discuss the ongoing Request for Proposals (RFP) process for a new project. The meeting featured an update on the vendor engagement and timeline for proposal submissions.
During the session, it was reported that over a dozen vendors attended an informational meeting, raising numerous technical questions primarily related to data migration, which is a significant cost factor in the project. In response to vendor requests, the deadline for proposal submissions has been extended from October 6 to October 17, allowing more time for interested parties to prepare their proposals.
Following the new deadline, the evaluation team will spend four to six weeks reviewing the submissions. The committee expressed confidence in the process, noting that they are on schedule and expect to receive proposals from major industry players. The procurement department will handle the submissions and release them to the committee once the evaluation period concludes.
The evaluation committee consists of representatives from the DuPage County IT Department and various agencies, including officers who will use the new system and records managers. This diverse group aims to ensure that both technical and practical perspectives are considered in the evaluation process. The committee includes members from the sheriff's office, which is the largest user of the system, emphasizing the importance of their input.
As the meeting concluded, there was a suggestion to provide an informational session for new committee members to familiarize them with the project and the roles of various participants. The committee is set to present their recommendations in February 2026, marking a significant step in the project’s development.
