Cruz described her remarks as recommendations to align LMSTA policy language with statutory requirements and district practice to benefit families and students. No final action on the renewal petition occurred at the hearing; the hearing was opened for public comment and then closed. The board took no vote to either approve or deny the renewal at this meeting.
