A special use permit for a new drive-through facility in Grove City has been approved by the City Council, marking a significant step forward for local development. The ordinance, identified as C 35 25, pertains to the Grove City Drive Thru located at 3188 Southwest Boulevard.

During the meeting on October 6, 2025, the planning commission recommended approval with several stipulations aimed at ensuring compliance with city regulations. Key requirements include the removal and repainting of existing pavement markings to align with the proposed circulation pattern, compliance with city code Chapter 11 36 prior to opening, and the proper enclosure of a proposed dumpster with supplementary landscaping. Additionally, all non-conforming signs must be removed.

Zeeshan Usland, the applicant, confirmed his commitment to meet these stipulations, expressing readiness to enhance the site, including planting additional trees and updating signage. The council members engaged in discussions about the existing grass area adjacent to the facility, with Usland indicating no immediate plans for that space but remaining open to future improvements.

In another significant development, the council also discussed a resolution to authorize the city administrator to enter into a contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation for stormwater improvements along US 62 near Demarest Drive. This project will replace an aging 18-inch sewer pipe with a new 24-inch pipe, enhancing drainage in the area at no cost to the city.
