The Sumner City Council voted unanimously on Oct. 6 to approve its consent agenda, which included approval of checks and electronic payments totaling $1,378,868.06; Resolution No. 1730 (petty cash); a skate-park demolition construction contract award; Resolution No. 1731 accepting a Community Development Block Grant for the senior center; and approval of minutes for meetings on Sept. 15 and Sept. 22, 2025.

Deputy Mayor Bowman moved to adopt the consent agenda; the motion was seconded by Council member Beteto and passed without opposition.

Council members did not remove any items from the consent agenda for separate discussion during the meeting. The skate park demolition and construction contract award was handled as part of the consent package; no additional details about the contract (contractor name or price) were read into the record at the time of the vote.

The consent agenda approval was the only formal vote recorded during the regular-business portion of the Oct. 6 meeting prior to public comment and reports.
