At its Monday, June 30, meeting the Board of Control voted to excuse Councilman Tanner, approved the minutes from June 23 and approved four vendor requisitions and a demolition change order, all by voice vote.
The board approved a $15,550 requisition to Rollmac Mechanicals from the general fund to remove and replace a condensing unit, coil and furnace at Firehouse No. 2. It approved a $25,906.17 requisition to Ronan Sons from the wastewater treatment fund for an emergency repair completed at 240 Fourth Street and Lake Shore Boulevard. The board also approved an $80,682.85 invoice to GPD Group, charged to the wastewater treatment fund and the Peterson trunk line fund, for work on the Euclid Sewer Study (invoice number 84). Finally, the board approved a $1,200 payment from the NSP fund to Kevin Bocamp, doing business as KMP Demolition and Excavating, for additional concrete work to complete demolition at 346 East 230 Eighth Street.
During the GPD Group item a staff member noted the vendor had been labeled under public buildings in the meeting packet; staff clarified the accounting fund is correct even though the item’s document metadata showed “public buildings.” The Ronan Sons requisition was described as an emergency repair performed under the city’s emergency contract for the year.
All motions recorded in the transcript were approved by voice vote (“Aye”); the meeting record does not show roll‑call vote tallies or individual yes/no votes. The session concluded with a motion by Director Knecht, seconded by Director Rabideau, to adjourn.
The approvals authorize staff to pay the listed invoices and proceed with the work described; no additional policy changes or new programs were adopted at the meeting.
