City planning staff on Oct. 6 presented amendments to the City of Plano's 2025 comprehensive plan maintenance review, recommending updates to the built environment pillar and associated maps and asking the Planning & Zoning Commission to send the item forward to City Council.
Maryam Zahir, senior planner with the planning department, told commissioners the 2025 review updates the land-use and community-design, transportation, and housing-and-neighborhoods components and associated maps, including the future land use map, thoroughfare plan, bicycle transportation plan and parks master plan. "This item pertains to the 2025 comprehensive plan maintenance review," Zahir said.
