Rutherford County commissioners unanimously approved a revised resolution to support Project NewCo after staff added a condition required by a building‑reuse grant.
Commission staff told the board that the county had previously adopted a resolution supporting Project NewCo that cited a target of 125 jobs within five years. Because the applicant is applying for a building‑reuse grant that requires creation of 68 new jobs within the first two years, staff presented a revised resolution inserting that two‑year job requirement while leaving the previously stated five‑year 125‑job target unchanged. The board reopened the public hearing, took no public comment, and approved the revised resolution by voice vote.
