Mohave College has officially launched its new name and branding, a change that reflects two years of community engagement and research. The college celebrated this milestone on August 1, with launch parties attended by many local residents. Over 70% of participants supported the rebranding, which aims to enhance educational offerings, including the introduction of bachelor's degrees and improved student services.
In addition to the rebranding, the college recognized significant achievements among its health care program graduates. Nursing assistant graduates were honored across all four campuses, while radiologic technology students participated in a traditional pinning ceremony, marking their entry into the profession. Medical assisting students also celebrated their accomplishments, and paramedic students were recognized for nearing the completion of their program with a ceremony at the Lake Havasu campus.
The college is actively engaging with the community, recently hosting 21 high school juniors for a hands-on experience through the MASH program, which introduces students to various health care careers. This initiative is part of Mohave College's commitment to fostering future healthcare professionals.
As students settle into campus life, the Bullhead City campus welcomed new and returning residents to Mohave Village Apartments, emphasizing the college's role in building a supportive community.
In Kingman, Congressman Paul Gosar toured the Kingman Airport Industrial Park, including Mohave College's new Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC). This facility is the first of its kind in the region, preparing students for high-demand careers. A ribbon-cutting event for the AMTC is scheduled for September 24, showcasing the college's dedication to workforce training in Northwest Arizona.
Additionally, Mohave College's corporate education division collaborated with the Kingman Unified School District to offer a public relations boot camp at the district's leadership summit, equipping staff with essential communication skills.
These developments highlight Mohave College's ongoing commitment to education, community engagement, and workforce readiness, ensuring that it remains a vital resource for residents in the region. For more information about the college's programs, visit mohave.edu.
