District staff reported a $10,000 purchase of a 4-waxer buffer machine from Brady Plus for building maintenance, which administrators said will reduce summer maintenance demands. The board also approved the Keystone food-service bill for August and September totaling $22,008.53 and a $1,322 expense to prepare a walk-in cooler. Staff requested a $2,600 transfer from the activity fund into athletics accounts to split evenly between girls’ and boys’ basketball from last year’s sales.
The district received an estimate-of-needs bill from Pat Carroll’s office for $5,750 and reported balances in its creditor reports were steady for the time of year. Board members noted that major revenues typically arrive later in the fiscal year, including federal claims and January tax distributions.
Separately, the board voted to approve the annual school board election resolution and to close two voting precincts—Precinct 76005 in Woods County and Precinct 02011 in Winnapoppa County—because there are effectively no voters there, a procedural action the board described as a technicality.
All motions on the consent agenda and the precinct-closure and election-resolution items were approved by vote during the meeting.
