Resident urges more traffic enforcement, says county roads lack police presence

During the meeting's call to the public, resident Louis Wallace told the Board of Supervisors he regularly observes speeding, unsafe driving and limited law enforcement presence on county roads and urged the county to increase traffic enforcement.
Wallace said he drives for a living and described multiple near-miss incidents, stating officers are not visible on county roadways. "There's no cops, nothing anywhere in this... I couldn't find a cop anywhere in this county, anywhere, on any of these roads," he told the board, and called for enforcement of "the little laws" as part of addressing larger criminal issues.
A board member thanked Wallace and noted he is a constituent who raises similar concerns; the board did not respond substantively during the call to the public because policy prevents a response during that portion of the meeting.
