Kootenai County commissioners on Oct. 7 approved a professional services agreement with SCJ Alliance for community development work, including a community‑engagement program.
David Callahan, community development director, said the SCJ contract includes a detailed, itemized breakout of the proposed work and a robust community engagement program requested by staff. Callahan said he and county counsel had reviewed the contract and recommended approval.
A commissioner asked that levels of service be incorporated into the contract; Callahan replied staff would ensure that requirement was included. The motion to approve passed unanimously with aye votes recorded by Commissioner Eberly, Commissioner Duncan and Chair McDonough.
