County approves $750,000 stormwater cleaning contract with Olson Brothers ProVac

Tim Wilson, water resources manager with Public Works, said the contract covers cleaning and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure to protect assets and maintain regulatory compliance. “PROVAC was the highest rated proposal,” Wilson said; the contract includes a one-year base term with four one-year renewal options.
All expenditures under the contract will be paid from the stormwater utility fund, Wilson told the board. The motion approved by the board also authorized the director of Public Works to execute the contract and amendments adding up to 10 percent contingency (an additional $75,000), bringing the potential total to $825,000.
The item had been introduced at a previous meeting and drew no recorded public opposition during the vote. Commissioners approved the contract by voice vote; the transcript records no roll-call tally. Public Works staff said three proposals were received in response to the RFP and that Olson Brothers ProVac was the highest-rated offer.
The county will schedule contract execution and implementation with Public Works to begin maintenance cycles under the stormwater utility fund budget.
