The Saco City Council voted 7-0 Monday to amend the Pepperell Park Ad Hoc Redesign Committee membership to add one alternate member.

Councilor Hewitt moved the order, noting the original committee — created August 11, 2025 — was to consist of one council member, one Parks and Recreation Advisory Board member, one Saco Conservation Committee member and five at-large Saco residents appointed by the mayor. The amendment adds one alternate to that membership list.

The change passed without further discussion on roll call. The amendment is intended to increase participation flexibility and ensure quorum for the redesign process.
