District reports summer completions: new lockers, pavement repairs and nearly finished Cranberry solar installation

Facilities staff reported several maintenance and improvement projects completed or nearly complete over the summer. Bill (project staff) said Roten received new 12‑inch combination lockers on all three levels; staff and students are reportedly pleased and installations finished around early July. At West Rox, staff applied a scratch coat and asphalt overlay on a damaged parking and walkway area as a cost‑saving alternative to full mill‑and‑pave work; damaged sidewalks were replaced. Fox Run walkways were also repaired where tree roots had caused deterioration. Cranberry School’s rooftop solar installation was nearly finished; staff said final panels were being installed and wiring work would continue for about a month to six weeks so the system should be operational before year‑end. The committee heard that some long‑planned items (special in‑wall PONUS lockers) were not installed because lead times prevented completion this summer but remain planned for next summer. No formal votes were taken; these were informational project updates.
