The Woodland Park City Council unanimously approved four ordinances on initial posting Thursday and set public hearings for Oct. 16, 2025, advancing two pending property purchases and related budget adjustments.
Council approved ordinance 15‑o‑5 (series 2025) to initiate purchase of Lot 6, Block 2, Bergstrom’s Addition and adjoining vacated alley and related surveyed parcels; ordinance 15‑o‑6 (series 2025) to initiate purchase of multiple parcels at Shining Mountain Golf Course involving mixed undivided interests; and two appropriations ordinances: 15‑o‑7 (series 2025), which staff said corresponds to the Lot 6 purchase and adjusts general fund appropriations with $695,000 allotted for that purchase, and 15‑o‑8 (series 2025), a $3,200,000 supplemental appropriation to the water fund tied to the parcel purchases referenced in 15‑o‑6.
Aaron, city finance staff, told council the $695,000 figure corresponds to the Lot 6 purchase; he also identified the $3.2 million supplemental appropriation as a water‑fund amendment. Council members moved and seconded the initial postings and related budget amendments; Suzanne conducted roll call votes for each item and each motion passed unanimously.
Each ordinance was set for public hearing on Oct. 16, 2025. Staff indicated additional materials and legal descriptions are available in the meeting packet and will be part of the public hearing record.
