Glynn County opened bids for RFP 26-007, the Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Trails Plan, during a publicly streamed bid opening in which county staff said five proposals were received. Nikki Thompson, procurement analyst for the Glynn County Board of Commissioners, led the opening and read procedural guidance to attendees.
The county will review all submissions for accuracy and responsiveness before making a recommendation. "The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive technicalities and make an award in the best interest of Glynn County," Thompson said. She said the procurement analyst and the project manager will review paperwork and that a bid tabulation sheet will be posted to the county website when available.
County staff listed five bidders: EXP US Services Incorporated (Jacksonville, Florida); Foresight Group LLC (Peachtree Corners, Georgia); Grissom Smith (Nashville, Tennessee); Pond & Company (Savannah, Georgia); and Robert and Company (Atlanta, Georgia). Thompson noted the recommended award will be presented to the finance committee and then to the full Board of Commissioners at its next scheduled monthly meeting. No award was made at the bid opening.
The bid opening was held as a public, live-streamed event and attendees were invited to sign an attendance sheet. Staff provided a contact email for follow-up questions as read during the session. The county advised prospective bidders to sign up for website alerts to be notified when the bid tabulation is posted.
