The Secaucus Board of Education added finance resolutions R4.1 through R4.14 to the agenda to adopt the terms of settlement agreements and general leases referenced in several Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Hudson County docketed matters. The business administrator read docket numbers into the record and said each resolution included an annexed settlement agreement.
Docket numbers read into the meeting record included HUD-LD-2460-20, HUD-LD-2458-20, HUD-LD-2469-20, HUD-LD-2849-20 and HUD-LD-4790-19; the business administrator said the associated settlement documents were annexed to each resolution.
The board also submitted a tentative budget for the 2025-26 school year to the county superintendent. The business administrator said the tentative budget maintains existing programs and thanked administrators and the business office for their work preparing it.
Board members asked for clarity about timing and the ability to revise the budget after submission. Board counsel (Mr. Fogarty) and the president advised that the submission is preliminary and that the board retains the ability to make changes before the April 30 deadline; members scheduled further review meetings to examine line-by-line details before final adoption.
Materials pertaining to the resolutions and budget were said to be available through the business office and will follow normal public-review processes.
