Waukegan Public Schools said proceeds from the annual Pasta and Pops dinner will support the district's music students through equipment purchases, travel opportunities and scholarships, Nicholas Altsakis, the district's director of communications, said.

The district described the event as a community gathering held at the Brookside Campus, where orchestras, choirs and bands performed. Altsakis thanked parents, staff, students and community sponsors for supporting the fundraiser and the district's music programs.
