The Mount Pleasant School Board on Oct. 21 approved an agreement with New Story Schools to provide placement and services for a student whose needs the board said are met by that partner school.

Board members described New Story Schools as a newer partner to the district and said the agreement was intended to serve a student whose needs align with services at the New Story program. The motion to approve the agreement was moved by Board member Cedar and seconded by Board member Brooks and passed by voice vote.

The board did not discuss contract dollar amounts, duration, or specific services in the public record during the meeting; the agenda listed the item under curriculum (item 8.2). No public comment on the agreement was recorded during the meeting.
