The Mount Pleasant School Board on Oct. 21 approved termination of a cooperative athletics agreement with Greensburg Central Catholic, the board recorded under athletics business (agenda item 4.4).

Board members said Greensburg Central Catholic had previously participated in a co-op arrangement and that, moving forward, Greensburg Salem will consolidate resources so both boys and girls swimming and diving programs will operate together with shared support, rather than being split between schools. "So they are now going to have both boys and girls with Greensburg Salem pulling their resources in one instead of splitting the way that it was," a board member said on the record.

The motion to terminate the co-op agreement was moved by Board member Seater and seconded by Board member Poole and approved on a voice vote. No public comment or extended debate was recorded during the meeting about the termination.
