Commission accepts Barrington Lakes Section 2 maintenance bond and dedicates subdivision streets

The Board of Commissioners accepted a three-year, 10 percent maintenance bond of $90,625.50 from Merit Contracting and dedicated streets in Barrington Lakes Section 2 on Oct. 6.

County staff said the maintenance bond covers streets in Section 2; after accepting the bond the commission accepted ownership and maintenance responsibility for Folkston Way, Padstow Way, Wallington Street and Wickersham Lane, a total of 3,434 feet (about 0.65 miles).

A commissioner moved and the board approved acceptance of the maintenance bond and the streets by voice vote. Staff noted the bond amount and the measured street lengths during the presentation.
