Board accepts multiple donations to schools and student programs

The board approved acceptance of several donations to district schools and student programs and recorded the approval as unanimous.

Staff listed donations that included: Blissful Balance LLC — $75 to Brush Creek Elementary; Ironbenders Fitness and Nutrition — $250 to the high-school Kindness Closet; Stir and Sip (doing business as Alley Crossed) — $145 to PBIS student incentives; JC Food Store — five cases of peanut butter to the Panther Pantry; Church of Christ — $250 to the Panther Pantry; Ray Wagster — $100 to the Panther Pantry; Premier Sports — 160 staff T-shirts for the homecoming theme; and Northfern Elementary — approximately $70 worth of SD cards to Jeff Green. A motion to accept the donations was made by Mary Lynn and seconded by Travis; the board vote was recorded as seven in favor.

Staff did not state whether any donated items require additional acceptance procedures or had restrictions; donors and amounts were read into the public record.
