Corinth approves $1.03 million purchase of Pierce Enforcer engine for Lake City Fire Department

The Corinth City Council approved the purchase of a Pierce Enforcer fire engine for $1,026,561 and authorized the city manager to execute the necessary documents, after a briefing from Lake City Fire Chief Stacen.

Chief Stacen said the department’s previous engine was struck by a dump truck during a response on the morning of July 4. “Since then, working with T. M. L., our insurance provider, the claim, was determined that the value of the engine was, the 659,690 and some change. And that check from T. M. L. has been cut to the city and has been received by the city,” Stacen said. He told the council the replacement truck is listed at $1,026,561 and that the city’s financial impact would be about $366,870, which includes “a nearly $40,000 prepayment. Or prepaid discount from Siddons Martin.”
