District construction progress: Coltrane Webb topping out set for Nov. 10; Mary Frances Swall moves substantial completion to April 26

The project team said a topping‑out ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 10. Visuals showed gym, dining and systems rooms and progress on ductwork and plumbing.
Mary Frances Swall Pre‑K Center: The pre‑engineered metal building is roughly 90% complete; roof panels are in place and temporary power is being coordinated with the City of Concord. The contractor said they have gained schedule time and moved the substantial‑completion target to April 26, 2026. Staff noted playground layout adjustments, furniture procurement coordination and the need to maximize playground space at the site.
Opportunity School: Interior concrete masonry and exterior metal stud work continue and the mock‑up panel process to confirm finish standards remains ongoing. The district said schedules hold for mid‑2026 completion.
Fuel farm and transportation infrastructure: Work is under way on a new 60,000‑gallon diesel tank pad and a canopy; site footings and tank pads have been poured and a site‑work contractor was awarded. The project team said gasoline tanks on site will be repurposed for gasoline use while new tanks will serve diesel.
Ending: The construction team asked that questions be held until the end of the presentation; the board discussed playgrounds and a neighboring residence adjacent to the fuel farm and was told outreach to neighbors has occurred but no complaints were reported.
