Commission approves consent agenda including AED purchases funded by opioid settlement

On Oct. 7, 2025, the Montgomery County Commission approved a multi-item consent agenda that included contracts, benefit renewals and grant agreements.

Notable approvals included the use of opioid settlement funds to purchase automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for patrol vehicles, a grant agreement with the Alabama Department of Youth Services, a professional services renewal with Nafcare Inc. for on-site inmate health care, renewal of Blue Cross Blue Shield benefit enrollment, and a 2025–26 traffic enforcement grant agreement.
