The director of the Elyria Community Partnership (ECP) updated council Monday on events, small‑business grants, a CRM tool for tracking storefronts and services, and early planning for a City Hall mural and the Foster senior lofts project.

ECP Director Roberts thanked council and administration for support and noted recent successes including the historical looking glass unveiling downtown and sponsorship of the Garford Arts Fest. Roberts said ECP awarded up to $10,000 in mini‑grants to five business owners this year and has additional applications in process.

Roberts described a CRM mapping tool, funded by a grant, that is 90% complete and can match business needs to available properties and local services. She invited council to a pitch‑deck competition on Nov. 18 featuring local entrepreneurs and asked for council visibility at the event.

On the Foster senior lofts project, Roberts said construction is progressing and that slated completion is May 2026. She also proposed exploring a mural on the City Hall wall as part of a broader wayfinding and branding effort; Roberts noted potential funding from America250 and the Lorain County Community Foundation and proposed a call for artists, community focus groups, and coordinated design review with the city.

Council members asked about project timing, potential internship candidates, and signage consistency; Roberts said she will bring updates as artists are solicited and funding terms are finalized.
