The La Paz County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 6 held a public hearing and recommended approval of an Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control application (No. 358259) for a Series 6 bar for Blue Bar 2, 3442 Highway 95 in Parker.

Lori Thornberry, clerk of the board, said the required notice had been posted for at least 20 days at the location and that county departments returned no objections; she noted a typographical error in the application address had been corrected. No members of the public appeared to speak during the hearing. The board then voted to recommend approval to the state liquor agency.

The board's action is a recommendation to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control; final licensing authority rests with the state agency.
