CRA amends façade grant to name owner of 4281 Peters Road

The Community Redevelopment Agency voted to amend language in a façade improvement grant agreement to make explicit that the grant recipient is the owner of the property at 4281 Peters Road, Plantation, Florida 33317.
The change was proposed by Commissioner Fadgen and approved after a brief legal check. “Whereas the recipient acknowledges that they are the owner of the property located at 4281 Peters Road, Plantation, Florida 33317,” Commissioner Fadgen said, offering the alternate phrasing that was adopted. City attorney Ezreal told the dais, “No problem. Okay. There's no legal issue with that.”
The motion to approve the façade agreement with the amended whereas language was moved by Commissioner Fadgen, seconded on the floor, and approved in a roll-call vote. Commissioners Anderson, Andrew, Fadgen, Horland, Einstein and Sordle recorded “yes” votes when the clerk called the roll.
The amendment affects the preamble (the fourth “whereas”) of the façade improvement grant agreement; it does not change the grant amount or other substantive program terms as discussed in the meeting record. Items 2 and 3 on the CRA consent agenda were previously approved in a single motion earlier in the meeting.
The CRA proceeded to public comment and other agenda business after the vote.
