ODOT District 6 updates Delaware County on interchange, roundabout and corridor projects

Tony Turesky, deputy director for District 6 of the Ohio Department of Transportation, briefed the Delaware County Board of Commissioners on a broad set of state transportation projects, construction timelines and safety improvements that will affect travel across the county and nearby corridors.
Turesky said the large interchange project tied to The Point development will include a closure of Central Avenue that he described as a short, necessary disruption: “The good news is, it's only a 30 day closure only. I say that. I know it is an impact, but that, of course, will get us open ahead of the jug.” He said crews are building embankments and working offline for most of the year and that new lanes beneath the railroad bridge are expected to be open by the end of the year, with paving and landscaping carried into the next season.
