The Appleton City Plan Commission on Oct. 8 approved rezoning number 825 for two properties at 1624 and 1720 East Melody Lane that were recently annexed from the town of Grand Chute. Staff recommended assigning an R1B residential zoning classification to the parcels.

"The zoning designation of R1B was chosen for these 2 properties and staff is recommending approval of the rezoning," Don said during the hearing. The properties were annexed into the city and are currently zoned agricultural until the formal zoning classification is assigned.

No members of the public spoke at the public hearing. A motion to approve the rezoning passed with no recorded opposition and will be reflected in the city's zoning map going forward.
