County staff says industrial code changes are complete; quarterly minor code fixes planned

County planning staff told the Churchill County Public Works and Planning Commission that industrial code changes the department worked on for six months were approved last month and that staff will return quarterly with minor code amendments to correct recurring issues.

The department identified three parcels that received dual designations that were missed in the prior agenda and said those will return for quick follow-up. Staff said it will prioritize “hiccups” in the code that create confusion during application reviews and bring targeted, limited amendments to the commission on a regular schedule.

No formal action was taken; the item was informational. County staff asked commissioners to watch for these future, narrowly scoped code-change items and to expect short agenda items for clarification and correction.
