The City of Middletown Planning Board approved an application to open Amerisol Trinidad, a grocery and deli, at 24 East Main Street on Oct. 1, 2025.
Applicant Orlando Reyes said the business will serve breakfast, lunch and brunch and offer nonalcoholic beverages and fully prepared meals “for the community.” Planning staff opened a public hearing; no members of the public spoke in opposition or support.
Department of Public Works staff reported “no issues” with the application, and Fire Inspector Andy Witkowski likewise indicated no concerns. The planning board moved to close the public hearing and approved the resolution by roll-call vote.
No special hours, conditions, or follow-up tasks were noted during the board’s public discussion beyond the standard permitting and inspection steps.
